How long have you been a technician?
I’ve been a nail tech since I was 16, gradually building my skill through the industry’s leading brands, gaining the elite title of Grand Master Nail Artist. In 2015 I was approached by INK London – the UK’s leading nail brand, to become their Scottish educator- a very proud moment for me as I had been using their products for a year or so and had completely converted from my previous brand because they were so good. As well as being an accredited lecturer, spray tanner and waxing therapist, I also have qualifications in business management and marketing.
What are your main strengths?
I’d like to say I’m organised and a good listener with a balanced view on everything. I love to teach, I will always help colleagues and students to develop their skills and push for them to continually grow.
What’s your favourite part of the job?
The clients! I love helping people feel good, not just aesthetically but mentally too – nothing beats a session with your therapist. I also absolutely love doing acrylics – ombre, French, glitter encapsulation, it’s great fun.
What’s your favourite product?
Wax:One. This home care product contains salicylic acid, so it’s great for the prevention and treatment of ingrown hairs. It also doubles up as a great breakout treatment for facial blemishes.
And when you’re not working?
I love walking my French bulldogs, cooking and stalking ‘Hinching’ (@mrshinchhome_x_) on Instagram. I also can’t get enough of
