As a Green Salon Collective Salon, we’re proud to be part of a community that’s working hard to reduce our impact on the environment. We believe that sustainability should be at the heart of every business, and we’re committed to doing our part to protect the planet for future generations.
Serious about Sustainability
As a Green Salon Collective Salon we recycle, compost and recover: hair, used foils, empty colour tubes, plastic and paper. The waste from our salon is then used in many creative and innovative ways that help the environment.
For example, did you know that hair is great for cleaning up oil spills? It might sound strange, but it’s true! Hair is able to absorb oil and other pollutants, which makes it an ideal material for creating “hair booms.” These booms can be used to contain and clean up spills, protecting the environment and wildlife from harm.
Green Salon Collective Salon is also able to us hair to create hair yarn and hair mats.
